ESP Meeting

 Items:

  •  Chris P, Roman, Mike P meeting at 2:00pm today to finalize the BOM for the MFB
  • Most people could make a March 14 field trip to Sandia in Livermore.  Will check with Ken Patel to see if it works for them.
  • Jim will get Material Transfer Agreement for the Qiagen material;  Scott Burrows may come visit March 6.
  • We need to set up Confluence page to allow LRAUV access

Puget Sound Deployment

  •  2 deployments, both using cell-phone and on piers.
    • First will be late May to late June, while Vera is teaching a class at Friday Harbor.
    • Second will be in August in Samish Bay (lat/long is 48.610416,-122.437445).
    • NOAA has no operating funds and will need arrays, pucks, and reagents.
    • deployment logistics still to be worked out.
    • We will want to install HOBO's in their machine to watch for temp fluctuations
    • Must set-up site-visit dates.

Cawthron

  • Chris and Kevan have a reagent list.  Roman to provide what Puget Sound will need.  This order and the dates needed will be given to Spyglass this week
  •  Look into bonding our container shipment to speed through customs.

3G ESP

  •  Spoke at length with Doucette/Connel about their reagent needs in the Gen 3 instrument.  Bead beating looks like a great thing for them.
  • Right now, aqueous methanol extraction works and would require 3 reagents total:  aq MeOH, primary Ab, PNA buffer.
  • from 1 ml of aq MeOH lysate, pull 250ul for Ab labeling and/or 250ul for PNA labeling before sending to SPR.
  • Work on Dissolved DA revolves around running filtered water through a resin to concentrate.  Hope is that methanol would be the eluate and everything downstream would be same as above.  form factor of resin column is not decided yet.  Greg and Nick working on this right now.
